In the first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League first qualifying round tie, Yelimay and Alashkert shared a 1-1 draw at the Alashkert Stadium in Yerevan. Arsen Ashirbek scored mid-way through the second half for Yelimay before a late equaliser scored by Alashkert’s Armenian defender Davit Terteryan.
Yelimay have not played in UEFA competition before but they have an excellent chance to knock out an Alashkert side that have reached the group stages of the UEFA Europa Conference League before, back in the 2021-22 campaign.
Alashkert will rely on that European experience and pedigree and this second-leg is expected to be a low-scoring encounter at Stadion Spartak in Semey.
