William O’Connor vs Dylan Slevin Prediction
William O’Connor is significantly further along in his career compared to that of fellow countryman Dylan Slevin. A former UK Open semi-finalist, European Championship quarter-finalist and a Premier League challenger, O’Connor’s experience playing on television is sizeable.
Slevin meanwhile showed his prodigious talent when he reached the PDC World Youth Championship semi-finals and last year appeared in this competition for the first time, losing 3-1 to Florian Hempel, underlining the step up in quality.
O’Connor is rightly the overwhelming favourite here and quite frankly, he should be. A stronger scorer who certainly won’t feel any pressure on the Ally Pally stage, it would be a surprise if ‘The Magpie’ didn’t end up comprehensively sweeping Slevin here.
