Luke Humphries was highly critical of his own performance following his 2-0 victory over Dave Chisnall in the first round.
The 2023 World Grand Prix champion averaged just 80.41 in his win, but fortunately for him Chisnall was not at the races at all and struggled to put the world number three under any meaningful pressure.
Jermaine Wattimena also benefited from an under-par opponent in the first round, with the Dutchman barely having to get out of second gear in his 2-0 success against Chris Dobey.
Humphries is surely going to improve here, and with reigning champion Luke Littler having crashed out of the tournament early, he will be sensing an excellent opportunity to add to his major title tally.
We can see Wattimena getting a set, but Humphries otherwise running away with this.
