Andre Russell will take the headlines in this contest and West Indies will be desperate to send him off on a winning note after losing the opening T20i to Australia by three wickets in a tight game. The Windies lower order didn’t put up enough runs last time out with no batter at number five or lower putting up a double figure score.
However, there’s no reason to believe that West Indies won’t rally, especially with Russell down there in that lower order desperate to make an impact. Assuming they find that extra production, then the hosts fighting back to beat Australia and sending out Russell on a winning note would be no surprise and backing that outcome has to be considered.
