West Ham preview: Reliant on Moyes again
West Ham United are once again reliant on David Moyes to keep them up. If his Everton side can win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium then a West Ham win here would keep the Irons up and relegate Spurs on a dramatic final day.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side looked as though they may push clear a month or so ago but May has seen them endure three successive losses, falling to a miserable 3-1 hammering at the hands of Newcastle United last weekend.
Leeds preview: Impressive campaign
Daniel Farke was immediately under pressure for his job as Leeds United boss following their title-winning Championship campaign last year, but now the Yorkshire giants have enjoyed a very impressive season and Farke has found his feet in the top-flight.
As they push themselves towards a mid-table finish in the Premier League, Leeds head down to the capital city on the back of an eight-match unbeaten run in the league, extended by a late defeat of Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.
West Ham team news: A mistake last week
Nuno Espirito Santo set up with a back three last week before quickly substituting Jean-Clair Todibo and so there is an expectation that the back four is used again.
Taty Castellanos was excellent when he came on and he may partner Callum Wilson, while winger Adama Traore is set to be unavailable once again.
Predicted XI (4-4-2): Hermansen; Wan-Bissaka, Mavropanos, Disasi, Diouf; Bowen, Fernandes, Soucek, Summerville; Castellanos, Wilson
Unavailable:
Questionable: Fabianski (Injured), Traore (Injured)
Leeds team news: A few injuries
Having missed out on being named in Germany’s FIFA World Cup 2026 squad, Anton Stach will miss the final day of the campaign due a foot injury sustained against Brighton.
Sean Longstaff has undergone surgery for a hernia this week and he sidelined alongside Gabriel Gudmundsson, Ilia Gruev and Noah Okafor.
Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Darlow; Rodon, Bijol, Bornauw; James, Tanaka, Ampadu, Justin; Nmecha, Gnonto; Calvert-Lewin
Unavailable: Gudmundsson (Injured), Bogle (Injured), Gruev (Injured), Longstaff (Injured), Stach (Injured), Okafor (Injured)
Questionable: Struijk (Injured), Bogle (Fitness), Aaronson (Injured)
West Ham vs Leeds prediction
West Ham are desperate. That may help them. Trying to play cautiously last week cost them dearly. Their best came in the second-half when they became a bit more gung-ho. That is something Nuno should play in to with the home crowd behind them. Leeds have enjoyed a strong season but will be ‘on the beach’ so to speak and, with their injuries, a home win seems a decent bet.
