Vllaznia vs Daugavpils prediction

Vllaznia Shkoder finished second in the Albanian Kategoria Superiore last season, qualifying for the UEFA Europa Conference League. Coached by Edi Martini, the Kuq e Blute, as they are nicknamed, have suffered defeat in their first tie in each of their last three European campaigns.

They now face a Daugavpils side that, with Oleksandr Horshkov at the helm, finished as low as fifth in the Latvian Virsliga last season. The two-time Latvian champions have a very limited European pedigree and would have to shape up as one of the weaker sides in this season’s competition.

Daugavpils are, as mentioned, probably quite fortunate to have qualified for this tournament, and Vllaznia Shkoder have to be viewed as firm favourites for both legs.
