Uzbekistan vs Egypt prediction

Having qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Uzbekistan have since taken the decision to appoint 2006 Ballon d’Or winner Fabio Cannavaro. The Uzbeks come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Uruguay in Malaysia last month, ending what was a seven-match unbeaten run of form.

They face an Egyptian side that have been improved in the last couple of years with Mohamed Salah, Mostafa Mohamed, Trezeguet and Omar Marmoush in attack, preparing for the 2025 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in December. They will be one of the favourites for that.

Even though Egypt perhaps have the better quality and pedigree for this one, they will be a bit concerned that Uzbekistan are stiff opposition to get at, as shown against Uruguay.

Uzbekistan vs Egypt tip: Under 2.5 goals
