The first-leg of this UEFA Europa Conference League playoff round tie took place at the Basaksehir Fatih Terim Stadium in Istanbul last week, and ended with Universitatea Craiova defeating the Turks by two goals to one away from home.

Alexandru Cicaldau gave Univrsitatea Craiova a lead in first-half stoppage-time, before right wing-back Carlos Mora doubled their lead mid-way through the second-half, with the Costa Rican being linked with a move away to a few La Liga clubs.
