Bolaji Oki: “The Zulu Warrior” bringing pressure and pace
Bolaji Oki (10-2), nicknamed “The Zulu Warrior,” is a 29-year-old prospect out of Belgium looking to continue building momentum in the UFC. He made his promotional debut with a hard-fought split-decision victory over Timmy Cuamba before suffering his first setback against Chris Duncan, losing by first-round guillotine choke. Oki bounced back strongly in May 2025, defeating Michael Aswell via unanimous decision to steady his footing in the promotion.
Oki is a pressure-based striker with fast hands and aggressive movement. He thrives on forward momentum and volume, but his grappling remains a noticeable weakness — something that his opponents will look to exploit.
Mason Jones: “The Dragon” returns with renewed momentum
Mason Jones (16-2) also nicknamed “The Dragon,” is enjoying a second wind in his UFC career. After a 1-2 run in his first stint with the promotion, the former Cage Warriors champion returned to the regional scene and racked up four straight victories. His re-entry into the UFC saw him earn an impressive unanimous decision win over veteran Jeremy Stephens in May.
The 30-year-old Welshman is a well-rounded fighter with a strong wrestling base, effective submissions, and gritty ground and pound. He’s durable, has never been finished, and isn’t afraid to walk through shots to land his own. While his striking can be scrappy, he makes up for it with pace and toughness.
Bolaji Oki vs Mason Jones prediction
This matchup pits Oki’s clean, technical striking against Jones’s more complete mixed martial arts game. Oki should have the advantage in straight stand-up exchanges, with sharper hands and a pressure style that can rack up points on the feet. However, Jones’s durability, and grappling edge makes him hard to finish and also grants him a submission threat.
Given his current five-fight winning streak and ability to overwhelm opponents with pace, clinch work, and ground control, Jones looks likely to dictate the terms of this contest. Oki has shown holes in his grappling and unless he can keep Jones off him for three full rounds, the Welshman’s relentlessness should prove decisive. Expect Jones to grind out a clear decision or potentially force a late stoppage via submission or ground-and-pound.
Prediction: Mason Jones to win
