World number 162 Su Jeong Jang grabbed one of the biggest wins of her career over fifth seed Sofia Kenin on Tuesday, thrilling the home crowd in Seoul. The 28-year-old enjoyed a decent run on the ITF circuit back in August but home advantage clearly sparked her into life to suggest she could make a rare foray into a tour-level quarter-final. 30-year-old Emina Bektas came back from a set down to beat Laura Pigossi on Tuesday and she will set a new career-high WTA world ranking of 115th for her efforts. The American enjoyed the grass swing earlier this season, reaching the quarter-finals of the Libema Open and the round of 16 at the Birmingham Classic, but her form has fallen away recently. This match is worth keeping well away from an accumulator but otherwise back Jang to earn at least a set to leave the victor up to chance.
