18-year-old Robin Montgomery came back from a set down to stun Ana Bogdan on Tuesday and she will set a new career-high WTA world ranking of around 175th as a result. The teenager made full use of her wildcard at Miami in recognition of her strong recent form on the ITF circuit and she has nothing to lose in this intriguing clash with Madison Keys. World number 21 Keys had to retire from her previous match at this stage of Indian Wells two weeks ago to throw some doubt over her fitness but it is likely that the 2017 US Open runner-up will be ready to go here. The 28-year-old knows what it will be like for Montgomery on Friday but recent wins over the likes of Victoria Azarenka and Caroline Garcia suggest she will be too powerful for the underdog here. This should be a warmly supported match for both players but back Keys to win it in straight sets.
