THE PREDICTION

Roberto Carballes Baena beat Dan Evans at the Marrakech Open for the second year running after also ousting the Brit en-route to the title here last season. The 31-year-old looks well capable of rolling through to the semi-finals in this first encounter with 26-year-old Nicolas Moreno De Alboran but he will do well not to underestimate the American after two eye-catching results over Facundo Diaz Acosta and 2022 Marrakech champion David Goffin. Moreno De Alboran qualified the hard way this weekend to bring nearly three times as much court-time into this clash than RCB’s three hours so far and that should eventually prove the difference here. Back Carballes Baena to win outright, with three sets about as likely as two.

TIP: ROBERTO CARBALLES BAENA TO WIN
