THE PREDICTION
This promises to be a thrilling clash between two big names in the Buenos Aires draw. Former world number three Stan Wawrinka came back from a set down to beat Pedro Cachin relatively comfortably on Monday and that will be a huge boost to the veteran’s confidence after a five-set first round exit to Adrian Mannarino at the Australian Open. The Swiss beat Jarry in straight sets in their only previous encounter at the Qatar Open back in 2019 but a lot has changed since, for both players, as Jarry comes into the Argentina Open as the third seed at world number 21.
