THE PREDICTION

Former world number three Milos Raonic enjoyed a straight-sets victory over Jesper de Jong on Monday, snapping a three-match losing streak that stretched back to August last season. The 33-year-old’s body continues to let him down whenever he finds even a modicum of form on tour but when fit and firing Raonic has beat the likes of Miomir Kecmanovic and Frances Tiafoe last summer to prove he can still compete well inside top 40 level.

This should be a fascinating clash between two of the biggest serves on tour but 26-year-old Alexander Bublik looks the solid favourite to come through it in his current form. The Kazakh won his fourth ATP title at the Montpellier Open two weeks ago with a comeback over Borna Coric and he beat the Croat in straight sets on Tuesday in impressive rematch. A five-match winning streak says Bublik can roll through to the quarter-finals but it would be wise not to underestimate Raonic, particularly after a rare win. Back Bublik to win outright and consider adding at least a tiebreak between two of the hardest hitters on tour.

TIP: ALEXANDER BUBLIK TO WIN (AND OVER 0.5 TIEBREAKS)
