20-year-old Lorenzo Musetti set a new career-high ATP world ranking of 19th this week after a brilliant run to the final of the United Cup with Italy before they fell 4-0 to the USA. The Italian won each of his four singles matches against significantly lower-ranked players before an injury saw him forced out of a proper match with Frances Tiafoe in the final and it remains to be seen how badly that will affect his Australian Open campaign.
