World number four Jessica Pegula beat Yanina Wickmayer in straight sets on Saturday to reach the Korea Open final, her second final in as many weeks after finishing runner-up to Veronika Kudermetova at the Tokyo Open. The 29-year-old will be a popular champion here in Seoul as she has Korean heritage but the support may be mixed in this clash against Chinese underdog Yue Yuan, who came into the tournament ranked 128th in the world. 25-year-old Yuan will move back inside the top 90 with an unlikely victory here but she has little to lose if she comes out swinging against the top seed. A shock victory over Marie Bouzkova in the quarter-finals makes her dangerous but Pegula looks to have already overcome her wobble this week. The American can be backed to win outright, probably in two.
