THE PREDICTION
World number 13 Alex de Minaur came back from a set down to oust an initially spirted Dusan Lajovic on Wednesday, backing up another tight victory over Andy Murray. The 24-year-old will be seriously motivated for revenge in this clash with Jannik Sinner after the Italian beat him to the Canada Masters title back in August but a 5-0 head-to-head record in Sinner’s favour does not bode well. 22-year-old Sinner brought a career-high ATP world ranking of fourth into the Paris Masters after winning the Vienna Open last week, beating Daniil Medvedev to a title for the second time in a month after picking up the Beijing 500 in early October, and that sort of form suggests he could be the dark horse on home soil at the incoming ATP Finals in Turin. Sinner needed a set to settle on Wednesday, coming back from one down to beat Mackenzie McDonald, and that makes backing the Italian to win outright the suitably cautious call here.
BETTING TIP: Jannik Sinner to win.
