World number 11 Hubert Hurkacz beat Alexander Bublik in straight sets on Saturday in his most convincing performance of the week by far. The 26-year-old held a 100% record in finals until last August when he was beaten in three sets by Pablo Carreno Busta at the Canada Masters but a 5-1 record is still a serious stat and he claimed one of his titles indoors, in France, at the Mosellle Open in 2021. World number 60 Benjamin Bonzi is through to his second tour final, and second this season, after overcoming Arthur Fils in straight sets. The 26-year-old passed a significant mental test on Saturday against crowd favourite Fils and he will be rewarded with a partisan backing on Sunday in this first meeting with Hurkacz. The Pole remains the favourite at this stage but three sets seem likelier than two. Back Hurkacz to win outright and consider adding at least a tiebreak between two top servers.
