26-year-old Beatriz Haddad-Maia will set a new career-high WTA world ranking of 12th no matter the outcome here after coming back from a set down to stun world number 10 Elena Rybakina on Friday. The Brazilian made it six wins on the spin against top 10 players as she continues to enjoy the form of her career that kick-started last summer when she won her first two WTA titles back-to-back on grass in Nottingham and Birmingham. Next up is world number nine Belinda Bencic, who overcame a strong early test by Shelby Rogers to reach the semi-finals without yet dropping a set. The Swiss is one of the form players on tour right now as her confidence looks to be restored under new coach Dmitry Tursunov, with Australian Open champion Aryna Sabalenka the only player to have ousted her this season.
