This will be a really interesting match between world number 43 Arthur Fils and number 60 Nuno Borges, with Fils blasting past the Portuguese in their first tour-level encounter at the Auckland Classic in January. Since that meeting, however, 19-year-old Fils has won just three of eight matches played on tour whilst Borges broke inside the top 50 for the first time with a vastly impressive run to the round of 16 at the Australian Open. 27-year-old Borges stunned Alejandro Davidovich Fokina and in-form Grigor Dimitrov before coming unstuck against eventual runner-up Daniil Medvedev in Melbourne and a recent run to the quarter-finals at the Los Cabos Open suggests he is in better shape than Fils, whose decline has come as a real surprise after finishing runner-up at the Next Gen ATP Finals late last year. Back Borges to win at least a set from a match likely to need a decider.
