Former world number one Andy Murray saved five match points in an incredible performance over in-form Jiri Lehecka on Friday, backing-up an excellent week of results despite all of his now six wins this season coming in deciding sets. The 35-year-old will be pleased with this week’s progress no matter the outcome of this final, his third on tour since the start of last season, especially as he aims to re-join the top 30 on tour before the summer’s Grand Slams and this should be his most competitive battle with Daniil Medvedev yet. 27-year-old Medvedev leads their head-to-head 2-0 after most recently beating the Brit at the Miami Open almost a year ago and he takes a confident eight-match winning streak into the Doha final after ousting Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets for the second week running.
