THE PREDICTION
This looks an interesting first meeting on tour between Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Dalma Galfi after both players enjoyed encouraging signs at Indian Wells. 24-year-old Galfi comes into the Miami Open at a career high WTA world ranking of 79th after upsetting Danielle Collins in straight sets, as a lucky loser no less, and it took three sets for Caroline Garcia to oust her from the second round. Meanwhile, 28-year-old Sasnovich beat Kaia Kanepi in straight sets to snap a poor run on tour and she also lost to a top player in three sets as Jelena Ostapenko eventually found a way past her in the second round. At their best levels Sansovich would be the reasonable favourite to win through in straight sets but Galfi could be about to enjoy a proper run of results on tour if she can capitalise on her efforts in the desert. Back Sasnovich to earn at least a set here or risk the three set option outside of an accumulator.
