World number 46 Alexander Bublik is enduring one of the tougher periods of his career so far but he at least snapped a 10-match losing streak at the Open 13 last month on a run to the semi-finals. The 25-year-old has lost to the eventual champion in his last two tournaments, Hubert Hurkacz in Marseille and Daniil Medvedev in Dubai, to suggest further improvements and he looks the clear favourite to blast past 24-year-old qualifier Tung-Lin Wu here. Wu will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 161st for qualifying to make his Masters debut but whilst Bublik is one of the more unpredictable players on tour his maverick serve should be too powerful.
