THE PREDICTION

World number 50 Zhizhen Zhang enjoyed a brilliant run to the quarter-finals of the Madrid Masters 10 months ago that kick-started his breakthrough on tour. The 27-year-old won Gold at the Asian Games late last season whilst also impressing at the Shanghai Masters and he has become a solid competitor across the surfaces that no player wants to face. World number 92 Aleksandar Kovacevic has enjoyed some of the best tennis of his career in recent weeks, reaching the quarter-finals of the Los Cabos Open before beating the eventual champion, Jordan Thompson, in Acapulco last week. The 25-year-old has not been beaten easily this season, with a four-set exit to Karen Khachanov at the Australian Open particularly impressive, but Zhang should have the experience at this level to avoid an upset. Back the Chinese to win outright.

TIP: ZHIZHEN ZHANG TO WIN
