THE PREDICTION
Alex de Minaur comes into this round of 16 match with qualifier Aslan Karatsev off a loss to Daniil Medvedev at the Paris Masters last week that will have been hard to take considering how well the Australian started. 21-year-old De Minaur seemed to be in two places at once against the eventual Paris Masters champion before Medvedev stole back momentum and that could hang-over into this match with Karatsev. The Russian came through a good contest with Taro Daniel in the first round and has challenged the likes of Karen Khachanov of late as he aims to break the top 100 but whilst he could cause De Minaur some trouble early-on this is a step above. De Minaur should be aiming to win this tournament as the third seed and can come through a likely wobble to win in straight-sets.
