World number 10 Matteo Berrettini will face American qualifier Marcos Giron for the first time in their careers on Tuesday evening with some pressure on the Italian. The seventh seed has not played since his last appearance in Paris at the French Open when he lost to the surprise run of Daniel Altmaier in straight-sets and he will be out of match fitness when he takes on Giron. Berrettini is certainly a player who can blow very hot and cold but we have seen what he is capable of on a hard court as he reached the US Open semi-finals last year. 27-year-old Giron may get a look-in at some early games if the Italian gets off to a slow start but on paper this should be a straight-sets affair for Berrettini.
