THE PREDICTION
Jordan Thompson played well in a comfortable straight-sets performance against Federico Delbonis in the first round on Monday but he will be truly tested here. Borna Coric has hit some form since the re-start of the tennis season and beat the Aussie in the round of 16 at the US Open back in September in straight-sets. As their only match to date, that makes grim reading for Thompson here and his style of baseline play probably benefits his opponent as Coric has been exceptionally quick in recent matches. The Croatian could be a dark horse for a deep run in Paris after negotiating a tricky opening match with Marton Fucsovics on Monday and should come through this second-round match in two.
