THE PREDICTION
This promises to be a fantastic match to kick-start the round of 16 between exciting young Spaniard Allejandro Davidovich Fokina and Diego Schwartzman. The pair have played twice already this year, with a straight-sets victory for the Argentine at the Australian Open backed-up by a much closer three-set affair at last month’s Cologne Open 2. 21-year-old ADF has earned the right to join a select group of long-named Spaniards on tour alongside Roberto Bautista Agut (RBA) and Pablo Carreno Busta (PCB) with his big win over Karen Khachanov in the first round. He will have a chance against Schwartzman as the 28-year-old took the long way around to beating him last time but there is still the ATP Finals to clinch by reaching the semi-finals here in Paris and Schwartzman has a determined look about him. It could well go to three sets as it did last month but Schwartzman will have designs on the title here and can win an electric match.
