Key stats

  • Suriname are unbeaten in their last eight World Cup qualifying matches (W4 D4). Their longest sequence without a defeat in World Cup qualifying history.
  • Suriname are unbeaten in their last six World Cup qualifying matches in Suriname (W4 D2).
  • El Salvador have lost their last three World Cup qualifying matches.

Suriname vs El Salvador prediction

Suriname sit at the top of Group A in North American qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with one victory and three draws in their four matches in the third round thus far. The Surinamese spent the October international break with back-to-back 1-1 draws at home to Guatemala and then away to Panama.

They now face an El Salvador side that won their opening game of the campaign against Guatemala before then suffering three successive defeats against Suriname and twice against Panama. El Salvador do only remain three points of group leaders Suriname with a game to go.

El Salvador head into this one with limited ability in the final third but they should heap the pressure on the hosts with defensive resilience, albeit Suriname to remain favourites.

Suriname vs El Salvador tip: Double chance – Suriname to win or draw
