In contrast, Nomme Kalju defeated by Partizani Tirana of Albania in the first qualifying round. In the first-leg of that tie in Estonia, Nomme and Partizani shared a 1-1 draw. Then, in the second-leg, Nomme managed to edge past by a goal to nil away from home with a goal deep into extra-time.
