Last season, St Joseph’s finished second in the Gibraltar Football League under the management of Abraham Paz. The Saints, as they are nicknamed, have played in seven European campaigns, but they have only managed two victories. They were beaten by League of Ireland’s Shelbourne at this stage of this competition last year.

After so many British and Irish sides qualified for the league phase of European competition last season, Cliftonville will be desperate to join the party this time around. Jim Magilton’s side were knocked out in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa Conference League by Latvian side Auda last season.

Cliftonville will believe they are firm favourites for this one with the second-leg in Northern Ireland, but both teams scoring seems a good bet for the first-leg as St Joseph’s take the game to Cliftonville on the rock of Gibraltar.
