MARK ALLEN VS LU HAOTIAN PREDICTION
Mark Allen begins his World Championship campaign after something of a mixed season as he has was the victor at the Champion of Champions event back in November but has also suffered plenty of early exits from a number of tournaments where he was expected to perform better. However, he most recently reached the quarter-finals of the Gibraltar Open last month where he showed some form and he is expected to see off the challenge of Lu Haotian here. The Chinese cuer is undoubtedly a talent but has so far failed to live up to the expectations placed on him from an early stage and he is likely to come off second best against such an experienced opponent. Allen has often underperformed at the Crucible, especially in recent years, but he is tipped to at least reach the second round this time around.
