Serbia have endured a miserable qualifying campaign and they are now into a new era as they welcome a very poor Latvia side to Belgrade this weekend.

Kick-off date/time:

How to watch on TV: UK – Not televised / US – FOX Sports

How to watch online: UK – Cannot be streamed / US – Disney+

Key stats

  • Serbia have lost three of their last four World Cup qualifying matches (W1).
  • Latvia have won only two of their last 13 World Cup qualifying matches (D4 L7). They are winless in the last six (D2 L4).

Serbia vs Latvia prediction

Dragan Stojkovic departed Serbia after a 1-0 defeat to neighbours Albania last month, leaving them in an almost impossible position to qualify. That was confirmed the other day, despite an improved performance in a 2-0 defeat to England at the Wembley Stadium, following the appointment of former Reading and Real Oviedo boss Veljko Paunovic.

The Latvians come into this one on the back of winning just one, at home to Andorra, in their opening seven matches in Group K of UEFA qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They most recently shared a goalless draw with North Macedonia in a friendly the other day.

Latvia have been regressing for over a decade and are now among the weakest sides in Europe, with Serbia expected to ease to a comfortable victory in Belgrade this week.

Serbia vs Latvia tip: Serbia to win to nil
