THE PREDICTION
Toulouse have lost their last six matches across all competitions, and that is not including a defaulted match in the Champions Cup, after a sixth-straight defeat in the Top 14 27-22 at Pau last Saturday. The reigning champions started defending their title with six-straight victories at the beginning of the season but they have lost eight of their last 11 in a concerning capitulation that travelling Bordeaux will be desperate to extend. The visitors have also seen a severe drop off in intensity with back-to-back league defeats after a 13-16 loss at home to in-form Racing 92 but they have a lead to protect here with Montpellier possibly in first place by Saturday evening. This match looks super tight but given the hosts’ horrendous form taking the visitors to win with a hefty +5 head-start could be the shrewd move.
