In-form Montpellier have been the surprise packages of the Top 14 season so far and they made it four straight wins in the league after a hard-fought 25-24 over Castres last Saturday. They will be eager to make it five before they depart for tougher challenges in the Champions Cup next week and could not have picked a more winnable fixture than Perpignan on the road. The visitors have performed well in their first season back in the top flight, with two vastly impressive home wins over La Rochelle and most recently Clermont, but five defeats from five on the road does not bode well against the side starting this weekend’s fixtures in third place.
