THE PREDICTION

Clermont Auvergne came perilously close to a win away at Perpignan but losing to the newly promoted side 26-24 is far from the level they would hope to be 11 matches into the Top 14 season. They have beaten the likes of Racing 92, La Rochelle and Montpellier this season but consistency has been their foe. Travelling Biarritz are unlikely to be able to heap more misery on their hosts though with five defeats from five on the road. They did well to beat Stade Francais 17-14 last Saturday and keep in touch with a very congested bottom-half of the Top 14 but Clermont should be able to cover -10 here. Biarritz have lost by at least 10 points in four of five away games this season.
