THE PREDICTION

NSW Waratahs have one final chance to avoid a winless campaign as they take on Melbourne Rebels. The Waratahs looked set to end their drought against Western Force last week but they failed to hold on and were edged in the closing stages as they surrendered a nine-point advantage. Their confidence is likely to be rock-bottom after a seventh loss in succession this year and with the Rebels chasing a spot in the play-offs, the hosts have their work cut out here. The Melbourne outfit lost for the second time in a row last time out as they were also beaten by the Force by a solitary point. They too have had a disappointing campaign with just two wins to their name but they can at least end on a high with a win here to give themselves a real chance at finishing in the top three.
