THE PREDICTION

Scotland have failed to hit the heights of their opening encounter in which they defeated England after they made it back-to-back losses with defeat to France last time out. They will be confident of responding here as they head to Rome to face an Italian side that continue to struggle. After failing to score in their loss to the English, Italy were hammered by Ireland in a 57-6 defeat in Dublin in their latest contest and having lost out by a 42-point margin against the Scots in last year’s tournament, the away side have to be fancied to cover the -20 handicap in this one.
