THE PREDICTION

Racing 92 were exceptional at home to a bullish Sale Sharks on Sunday, beating their Premiership visitors 41-22 to reach the semi-finals of the Champions Cup. Back-to-back home games should favour the hosts here and a six-match winning streak across all competitions suggests they should be backed to squeeze through this tough clash with last season’s runners up, who were the last team to beat them back in March. La Rochelle won an entertaining game at home to Top 14 leaders Montpellier last Saturday to bounce back from a loss away at Toulouse in the Top 14 and they have won six of their last seven across all competitions, including twice away at Bordeaux in league and cup. La Rochelle shut Racing 92 out for 19-0 in their previous meeting and this could come down to the finest of margins in the reverse. Back the hosts to edge this outright or even with a +1 head-start.
