THE PREDICTION

Despite failing to win the Six Nations on their own terms in the final fixture against France, Ireland will not be the team under pressure when they host Wales on Friday night. The Welsh head coach Wayne Pivac is under threat after a dismal defence of the 2019 Six Nations title they secured under ex-boss Warren Gatland. Ireland will have been able to move on from their own Six Nations disappointment and will look to start this new Autumn Nations Cup format off with a statement win. There is little hope for the visitors in this one, and they look set to struggle in Pool A alongside Georgia with Ireland and England set to tussle for top spot. At the Aviva Stadium, fans or not, Ireland can take this victory with a -10 start.
