THE PREDICTION
It feels like some time ago now when Pau were lighting up the early rounds of the Top 14 and they are now on a three-match losing streak after losing a close test with Racing last time out. As one of just three sides out of 14 to have played all eight of their fixtures so far, their place in the dead centre of mid-table looks a well-deserved one for their efforts so far. They play host to one of the other teams with a full compliment of matches under their belts in Toulouse, who visit on a bas patch of form themselves having lost two and drawn one of their last three Top 14 matches. The French giants will be expected to win this battle but Pau’s last match with racing really came down to the wire and the home side could pull an upset here. If that result is too steep an option, the match looks set to go over 40 points between two of the more potent offences in the league.
