THE PREDICTION
Bordeaux were humbled away to Toulouse last time out in a 45-23 defeat that backed up a loss to Racing 92 before that in the Top 14. Last season’s would-be champions are quite understandably suffering the hangover of having their potential title cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic as they sit in mid-table with a game in-hand and 15 points behind current pace-setters La Rochelle. Visiting Toulon could smell blood here as they come here on the back of a three-match winning streak after a good stint in the Champions Cup. They should contribute well to a scoreline that goes over 40 points here but, whilst it could be closer than some predict, Bordeaux should still find themselves victorious come the final whistle.
