Clermont lost a top-of-the-table crunch match last week away to La Rochelle to see the Top 14 table take some shape at the top end and their visitors will be smelling blood. Lyon are on a fine run of form, unbeaten in four matches with four wins and a tight 29-29 draw with Pau, and can leapfrog their hosts with a win here to challenge La Rochelle. However, Clermont will be aiming to bounce back strongly as they did in their only other Top 14 loss this season and the hosts are favourites to win what should be a closer match than some may expect.
