THE PREDICTION
After being knocked out of the Challenge Cup semi-finals by Hull KR, the Wigan Warriors have quietly gone about their business picking up two comprehensive wins in their last two matches. They hammered Hull KR 64-6 last time out and prior to that, the Leigh Leopards by 44-18. They of course benefited from those two teams having half an eye on the Challenge Cup final but those matches offered the Warriors the perfect opportunity to build some confidence after some mixed performances and results.
All the pressure coming into this game is arguably on Hull FC however as they are in must-win mode if they are to have a shot at finishing in the top six. They have had some positive results in recent weeks and now need to follow that up at the DW Stadium. That will be no easy feat however as this represents a major step up in quality based on their recent opponents. The Warriors will be expected to get the win but do not rule out the visitors pushing them all the way and keeping it within the ten-point handicap.
