- Warrington Wolves will come into this on the back of a disappointing loss to Leeds Rhinos in their last outing, although they have had a while to dwell on that after having two subsequent matches fall foul of postponement.
- The Wolves were very poor in that contest and were their own worst enemies with ball in hand but they will be looking to produce a big response here against a fellow top four side in Wigan Warriors, although there will be no debut for former Wigan man George Williams following his mid-season arrival.

- Wigan will hope their woes are now firmly behind them but they will still need to improve on with the ball if they are to earn a fourth straight success here, especially as they were hammered 14-40 the last time the pair met just a month ago.

Warrington Wolves will return to action after seeing their last two
games fall victim to the COVID-19 protocols. They will have a task on
their hands to put their poor showing in their last outing behind them
as they went down to Leeds Rhinos, a loss that ended their six-match
winning streak in Super League. They now take on a Wigan Warriors side
that have improved of late to make it three straight wins but this is a
step up for them as they face what should be much tougher opponents and
they look set to fall short here with the Wolves able to get back to
winning ways.
