- Salford Red Devils took full advantage of Castleford Tigers naming a youthful side as they produced their best performance of the season to run in 70 points and they will hope that proves to be the catalyst for an improved run of form.
- It is now two wins in their last three outing for the Red Devils but Richard Marshall knows that his side cannot become complacent despite last week’s huge victory with Wakefield Trinity set to pose a much bigger threat in this one.

- Wakefield Trinity put up a valiant fight but they fell short in their quest to make it back-to-back wins with reigning champions St. Helens getting the better of Trinity in their clash last week.
- Wakefield were just two points behind early in the second half but that was the closest they managed to get to their opponents with Saints able to score 14 unanswered points to seal the victory and leave Trinity with plenty of work to do to make the top six.

THE PREDICTION
It has been an underwhelming season for both of these teams to date
but there is still hope that they can force their way into the play-off
picture with an improved run of form in the second half of the season.
The pair have won just seven games between them so far this season but
it is Salford Red Devils that come into this on the back of a win. That
was in fact a sensational victory as they came out 18-70 victors over
Castleford Tigers. However, that was a much-weakened side they came up
against in that clash and their exploits in that game are likely to be a
one-off. Wakefield Trinity have struggled for points of late and with
the same being said of Salford other than in their last outing, this
should be a tight, low-scoring affair with no more than 46 points
expected to be scored.
