- Hull KR’s remarkable second half comeback ended in heartache as they were edged in a Golden Point thriller against Catalans Dragons in Round 1 as they came away with nothing despite fighting back from a 24-point deficit.
- Rovers were woeful in the first 50 minutes of the contest but improved significantly to level close to the end, although they fell to defeat as James Maloney’s drop goal sealed the win for the French outfit.

- There is still a lot more to come from Saints and while they will be content with that showing, they have been forced into making some changes to their 17 this week with Mark Percival and Agantius Paasi both ruled out with the injuries they picked up in the victory over Salford.

THE PREDICTION
Hull KR will have to overcome their Round 1 Golden Point anguish as they take on champions St. Helens. Rovers fought back gallantly to level the scores with Catalans Dragons and force extra time last week but they could not make it count. Another slow start for Rovers is unlikely to yield similar results in producing a fightback with Saints too good on both sides of the ball to allow that to happen. Hull KR have now lost their last four games stretching back to last season and with Saints looking strong in their opening contest last week, the champions can cover the -17.5 handicap in this one.
