This clash between Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants could be the clash of Round 1 with both teams hoping to get off to a strong start with a new man at the helm. Brett Hodgson and Ian Watson will do battle in this intriguing encounter between two teams who will believe they can compete for silverware this term. Hull needed a new direction after going stale under Lee Radford and Hodgson’s fresh approach could pay dividends. The Giants on the other hand have recruited well and look to have the tools to go well this year but in what is a difficult game to call either way, the winning margin is likely to be between 1-12 points for which ever side prevails.
