- Catalans Dragons booked their spot in the Super League Grand Final for the first time thanks to a comfortable success over Hull KR in their semi-final clash and the French outfit will be out to make history.
- Having won the League Leaders’ Shield, the Dragons will now look to add the major prize to their trophy cabinet but their chances could well hinge on the fitness of recently crowned Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel Sam Tomkins who will need to overcome injury to line-up at fullback.

- St. Helens now stand 80 minutes away from defending their Super League crown for the second time in succession with the three-peat very much on for the reigning champions after brushing Leeds Rhinos aside last week.
- Saints had little trouble in securing their spot at Old Trafford but this will be a tougher test against a team that they have lost to on two occasions so far this season, although coming into this with what should be a settled side is a bonus for them.

THE PREDICTION
The Super League season will reach its conclusion with what should be
a thrilling Grand Final between Catalans Dragons and St. Helens. 15
years since they were handed a place in the league, the French outfit
have the chance to make history here and stop St. Helens from achieving
the same. Saints are looking for a third straight Super League title but
they will not have things their own way in this contest. They have lost
two of their three games against the Dragons this season, including
when they blew an 18-point lead late in their Magic Weekend clash in
September. That will give Catalans plenty of belief and if Sam Tomkins
is fit enough to take his place in the side, the Dragons can push Saints
all the way and will look a good thing with a +8.5 start on the
handicap.
