- Castleford Tigers will finally return to action having not played since a defeat to Catalans Dragons on the 24th June and this will be their final chance to prepare for a Challenge Cup final with St. Helens.
- With that game on the horizon next weekend, Daryl Powell has opted to rest a host of his key players with the likes of Paul McShane and Niall Evalds sitting out with four youngsters in line to make their debuts having being named in the 21-man squad.

- Salford Red Devils, like the hosts in this contest, will make their return to action following a COVID-19 outbreak within the camp but there is still some uncertainty regarding the make-up of their squad.
- The Red Devils have struggled to get players onto the training field in the build-up to this game and while they will come up against an under-strength Castleford Tigers outfit, Salford could also still be missing a host of players as well as plenty that are underprepared.

THE PREDICTION
Both of these teams will take to the field for the first time since
the back end of June after each of their last two matches were
postponed. Castleford Tigers also have one eye on a date with St. Helens
at Wembley next week so they could be forgiven for not being desperate
to win this fixture. That is not the case for Salford Red Devils who
have managed just two wins from 11 Super League matches so far this year
but with some key attacking players set to be absent, it might make
this a tight game with points at a premium so expect no more than 44
here.
